In this study, natural products were formulated from ethnomedicinal plants that demonstrated antibacterial activities. Anti-bacterial natural products were formulated as antibacterial ointment, antibacterial cream, and lotions. This is in support of the Philippine Republic Act No. 8243 known as the Traditional and Alternative Medicine Act (TAMA) of 1997 which aims to improve the quality and delivery of health care services to the Filipino through the development of traditional and alternative health care and its integration into the national health care delivery system. After development, the drug products were subjected to tests like skin sensitivity tests for the antibacterial formulations to establish the ratio of the bioactive components in the lotion, cream and ointment base. This is to optimize the best formula that will produce antibacterial activity when infused with the plant extract.
